One of the most significant improvements is the modification of the authoritative node discovery mechanism in Kademlia. Previously, nodes received information only after completing the full request, which could take up to 37 minutes. Now, partial results are provided as they become available, reducing synchronization time to just 2\u20133 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n

Fix for Block Import Errors<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n

In previous versions, using warp sync could result in the error “Incomplete block import pipeline,” causing failures during block loading. This issue has been resolved in the new release, ensuring that the block import process now runs correctly and stably, which is particularly important for nodes utilizing the parachain template.<\/p>\n\n\n

Increased Connection Stability<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n

The updated libp2p now correctly tracks timeouts for outgoing requests, preventing them from hanging. In earlier versions, the network could encounter situations where unanswered requests blocked connections. This mechanism has now been revised, improving data transmission predictability and reducing the likelihood of failures.<\/p>\n\n\n

Protection Against Unreliable Nodes<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n

In the new version, litep2p introduces automatic rejection of incoming requests from low-reputation nodes. This helps protect the network from potential attacks and excessive load while maintaining network functionality for legitimate participants.<\/p>\n\n\n

Optimization of the Approval-Voting Mechanism<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n

Previously, approval-voting could result in duplicate assignments after a node restart, causing additional database load. Now, before adding an entry, the system checks for its existence, eliminating duplication and improving the efficiency of the voting process.<\/p>\n\n\n
