NOWNodes January 2026 Product Update: Dashboard Improvements, Cleaner Invoices, and X Layer (OKB)

January was about practical upgrades that make NOWNodes easier to use day to day: a refreshed dashboard navigation, improved invoice PDFs, and support for a new network — X Layer (OKB).

A refreshed dashboard menu

The NOWNodes dashboard is where teams manage API keys, endpoints, usage, billing, and plan settings. As the product grows, navigation can get cluttered — so in January we shipped an updated dashboard menu to make the most common actions quicker to reach.

What changed:

  • More intuitive grouping: core workflows like endpoints/nodes, API keys, usage, and account settings are organized more clearly.
  • Less friction for daily tasks: fewer clicks to get where you need, especially if you manage multiple environments or projects.
  • A better foundation for future features: the new structure keeps the dashboard scalable as we add more tools.

In short, it’s designed to save time and reduce “where is that setting?” moments — so your team can stay focused on shipping.

Updated invoice PDF layout

Not the most exciting update — but one that makes monthly operations smoother.

We improved the layout and formatting of invoice PDFs to make them cleaner and more consistent for internal processing. The goal is simple: invoices should be easy to review, forward, and store without extra back-and-forth.

Why it matters:

  • faster finance/procurement approvals,
  • clearer billing period and totals at a glance,
  • more consistent documents for record keeping.

Small polish, but it reduces admin overhead over time.

New network listed: X Layer (OKB)

The biggest product expansion in January is a new blockchain integration: X Layer, an EVM-compatible Layer 2 connected to the OKX ecosystem and powered by OKB. X Layer is built with Polygon CDK, meaning it’s designed to feel familiar for Ethereum developers and teams already working with L2 infrastructure.

Why we added it

X Layer is a good fit for builders who want to:

  • support users coming from OKX and OKB-based ecosystems,
  • expand multi-chain coverage without running extra infrastructure,
  • experiment with a new L2 without investing DevOps resources up front.

How it works with NOWNodes

If you already use NOWNodes for EVM chains, integrating X Layer should feel straightforward: you use your API key, connect to the X Layer endpoint, and call standard JSON-RPC methods.

Our documentation includes X Layer endpoints and method references, so you can plug it into existing tooling (apps, indexers, dashboards, and bots) with minimal changes.

What you can build

With stable RPC access, teams can:

  • query blocks, transactions, receipts, balances, and contract state,
  • track logs/events for alerts, analytics, and activity feeds,
  • power wallets, DeFi dashboards, trading tooling, and onchain monitoring,
  • ship multi-chain experiences while keeping a single integration model.

Recap

January 2026 updates:

  • Dashboard navigation refresh for faster access to keys, endpoints, usage, and account settings.
  • Cleaner invoice PDFs for easier internal processing.
  • X Layer (OKB) listed with EVM-style JSON-RPC access via NOWNodes docs.
