Subscription Payments Are Getting Simpler

We’ve updated how subscription payments work — the goal is simple: fewer switches and less confusion.

What changed?

With this release, auto-payment behavior has been split into t wo tracks depending on when you registered.

Existing users

For users who already have an account, auto-payment works largely the same — with one new addition: you can now enable automatic payments when paying from your account balance. Previously, balance payments always required manual action.

Auto-payment is supported for two priority payment methods:

  • Card
  • Balance

How it works for existing users

  1. Select a priority payment method.
  2. Enable auto-payment.
  3. Purchase your plan — payment goes through successfully.
  4. After 30 days, an invoice is generated for your subscription renewal.
  5. The bill is paid automatically using the method you have chosen, if there are enough funds.

New users

For users who register after this release, auto-payment is always on — there is no toggle to manage. As long as a valid priority payment method is selected, renewals happen automatically.

Auto-payment is supported for:

  • Card
  • Balance

How it works for new users

  1. Select a priority payment method.
  2. Purchase your plan — payment goes through successfully.
  3. After 30 days, an invoice is generated for your subscription renewal.
  4. The invoice is paid automatically using your selected method.

Priority payment method behavior

  • Card: If your card is connected and has sufficient funds, payment is processed automatically each month.
  • Balance: If your balance has enough funds, the renewal is processed automatically.
  • Crypto: No automatic charges. You stay fully in control of payments.

Why this update?

We wanted subscriptions to feel more natural and predictable:

  • Balance payments are now supported for auto-renewal
  • Clearer payment logic with fewer things to configure
  • New users get a streamlined experience with auto-payment always active

If you’re already using subscriptions, everything will continue to work — just with a simpler setup behind the scenes.
We would also like to inform you that, as part of the changes described above, updates will be made to the Terms of Use and Service Agreement.
